I know , this rather offensive if I am gonna say this but--- I love you and I don't want you spend your last years regretting and frown.
If you want happiness , you have to change yourself first . No bad behaviour , no give up , no rushing , no anger . Change slowly . Believe in yourself .
Remember , you are already reach old age , and you were felt the ''disaster'' yet you still enjoy . Please . I want to see you at least into spiritual things ,not materialistic , pleaseee , for once in your life , turn to your God . God loves you and always be if you change yourself into better person. You cannot be that ignorant . Please . WE LOVE YOU . Don't hurt yourself again like what you did before.
